You mean a single consumer CN film? After all there is Superia 400, Pro 400H, Pro 160NS and in Japan Superia 400 Premium.

Sorry no, there was another thread on here recently where it was claimed that 160 is no more and hence all the CN films left are 400 speed.

I agree with what another poster said, anyone who shoots a lot of any of the Fuji colour films should be stocking up. To some degree that includes me, I have found however over the past year that I am loosing interest in colour and may well just concentrate on B&W, Ilford have me covered for that.

160NS is indeed available in Japan and China. I found copious supplies in each country while I was there last month.

160NS is a great film. Beautiful colors. I would shoot it if you get the chance. Sadly, Fujifilm in their brilliance limits it to only a few markets in the world. They must think that is a better way to keep this film alive.

160NS is an interesting distribution case with Fuji. Until 2016 I saw it was produced in all formats, including 220, minus 35mm -- for Japan. None in the US. Quite a strange case that it is almost the last 220 film available. I've seen Velvia 100 is still available in 220 as well.

160NS was discontinued in all formats except 120 sometime in November/December 2016. Currently, Velvia 100 is the only film available in 220.

160NS was discontinued in the UK sometime end of 2017 according to more than one dealer. Yes some uk dealers still have stock but there is no more. Try buying it from AG photographic, Silverprint or Imaging warehouse all of whom had stock last October.

Whether this also applies elsewhere in Europe I don't know, Maco and Fotoimpex still have it but then they have very good supply chains and often carry films available nowhere else. To my knowledge it has never been officially distributed in the US.

The removal of distribution from the uk at least probably tells us that it's no longer in production and that Fuji are managing the stock down - since if you have a limited quantity left it's easier to guarantee supply to a reduced market. By the time there's an official bulletin in Japan confirming this you probably won't be able to buy it in the uk so from the perspective here it's already gone. For superia 200 we didn't even get a bulletin.

Well, the need is gone now. I was intending to shoot some night scenes in Kyoto but I could not find either Superia 800 or 1600. It was nearly a total bust film wise in Kyoto as I also intended to shoot all Kodak Ektar for my color needs. None of that could be found either. I ended up shooting 18 rolls of AgfaPhoto Vista 200. None of it developed yet I might add.

But they are always fully stocked online, and can deliver to your hotel/apt in 24 hours or less (or you can pick up in store and pay there). Every time I go to Yodobashi (which has been often this week, to pick up small orders of Acros as it comes in) I always buy out their entire stock of 2 rolls each of HP5+, Delta 100, and FP4+ (120) . I always ask if they have more, and the answer is always no. So I tend to do bigger purchases online, but buy whatever they have when I’m in store, so they’ll keep their film section alive, although who knows for how much longer as Fuji pulls out of film and paper altogether.

Times have really changed since I started going to Kyoto 6 or so years ago. Back then film was easy to get. Even 2 years ago I dont recall having much of an issue getting stock. Last trip however, the situation turned radically worse. Kodak color film simply didnt exist and Fuji's offerings were next to nothing.

I dont think I'll be back to Kyoto anytime soon so whenever that is, I dont think there will be anything left of Yodobashi's film section. I'll be hitting Tokyo next. Have not been there in some time. Maybe the film situation there is just as bad. I'll be shooting digital next time to Japan.

Now they say it’s backordered...

Looks like I’ll never receive my order.

Moreso, looks like they bypassed my order (which was in stock) to sell/ship to someone else.
