I am looking for some advice on time of day to shoot and editing style, to achieve film like skin tones. I shoot with a digital camera though, I really like this look which is more of a film style. Any advice would be appreciated.

The first image (2 girls) is my goal (Photographer Sam dameshek, taken on digital ) The second photo is mine taken in golden hour, And trying to edit to film unsuccessfully
