I have a RHDesigns Zonemaster II and I am always finding the battery dead. I'd like to just use an AC adapter for it. The manual specifies 9v 100mA center positive for the adapter. I have one that fits which is 300mA. Will that make any difference at all? I don't want to fry the thing.

Use my answer with a grain of salt because electricity is not my thing (I'm a mechanical engineer), but it's OK because your adapter can deliver 3x of the power the unit needs.

Yep, you're good, as long as you have more power the device will use what it needs of that.

I suggest you measure the voltage before using it. Some cheap units have a higher voltage than they claim. For such a valuable piece of equipment it's worth being careful.
