I am not a LF photog, could you explain the process here? For eg is the left/right fall off to dreamy blur due to camera bellows perspective (rise tilt?) and/or due to shooting wide open, and/or using a meniscus lens etc.,

I like the look!

Hi Andy.... sorry for the delay... It was a result of tilt/swing movements relative to the film plane.

Good use of movement.

I've always thought of movements as allowing me to bring something into focus. But the only tinkering I've tried to get things out of focus was attempts to get the miniaturization effect. And frankly I never nailed it.

For some people...like myself (& most clients) nothing should be out of focus. Stop it down...whatever it takes.

Except in cases where you, for whatever reason, use movements to create such an effect, as the OP mentioned. This is not a case of not stopping down.
