I printed on glossy FB (Kentmere Fineprint VC) for the first time just a few days ago and am stunned by the depth of black, and the visible shadow details, that are apparent in the prints. Something that I don't feel I have achieved in several hundred RC prints.

I'm sure this is more down to my printing ability and process than any kind of qualitative evaluation of the papers, but I'm just grateful that the choice is there to pick what works best for me.

Several non-photographers have commented that my glossy RC prints look a lot more like "real photos" that those on pearl, satin, or matt finish papers.
