Hi all

I have recently discovered this wide dynamic digital light sensor on mouser: bh1745nuc-e: 0.005 lux to 40000 lux, 4x channels: green, red, blue and white!

It was so tempting I could not resist designing a light-meter probe for my enlarger (based on a PIC24LF microcontroler and a DOGS LCD screen)

Here is a CAD picture of the PCB:
RGB+W lightmeter probe for darkroom enlarger - PCB by Dominique Filippi, on Flickr

Quick french to english translation:
boutton pressoir : mom switch
sonde: sensor

The board measures 106mm x 41mm

It has a small LCD screen with red backlight and yellow backlight.

It will be possible to use this probe autonomously or linked to my enlarger computer via USB.

I should receive the board within 10 days. I will let you know about my progress in this thread

This looks great. I can't wait to see the progress. I hope you can offer links to the PIC code and PCB files. What kind of enclosure will you be putting it in?

Yep I will share the firmware and the PCB Gerber files once the probe will be fully functional.
