A picture a day

I need to figure out a way to communicate the power of this location. Getting low and wide will probably be key. Splashes can be a risk though.

Sounds like you already have a couple of ideas. Sunshine on the water could also help by adding texture to it.

Enjoyed the blue sky as I waited for the train.

We're having a little interruption on our blue skies. It was blue just now, then it wasn't...but I'm sure it'll be blue again in an hour.

Pepper originally planted 7 years ago by my wife, sunflower sprouts planted by the birds mishandling their seeds. Both tasty

Do you keep propagating this from seeds?

Beautiful fruits, no, it's the original pepper plant which is in a pot that I keep outside in the summer and in a heated greenhouse in the winter. I had two pepper plants in pots that she planted, one died last year, this one that is still alive will probably die soon, I don't think they can generally make it much past 8-9 years. But we'll see! Unfortunately the greenhouse heat makes a pretty big electric bill in the winter.

The daily driver vehicle in a setting more photogenic than its typical environment. Before me, driven for 10 years by my father.

My current view from where I use my computer. I suppose it's a full moon or near to it.

The sheer curtain has a similar effect to a cross-screen filter, although seen better with the eyes than is captured by this iPhone.

Inspired by the fruitbasket. This one is on its way to a broomoil print. I find myself in the position that I need some captures to practice printing skills.

Winter is when my backlog of things to develop finally thins. Around March or April each year I might be finally running out. Then I fill it up again in July. At least, that's how it's gone the last few years.

I came down here again today, for the 3rd time this week. Took 8 frames on the 6x9 Voigtlander Bessa RF on Phoenix I. I'm enjoying the exercise as much as the photography.

Continuing the fruit & veg theme, a pepper from my neighbor's garden. She grows all sorts of them from these bigger ones to some tiny red ones that will burn the tongue out of your head.

Nice one! You nailed it; the turbulence is tangible and the way the rocks echo the texture of the water is icing on the cake. I like the result you got from the Phoenix too.

Thanks. Haven't developed the Phoenix yet, mostly posting iPhone pics to this thread, and films pics to Gallery.

The note reads "Please store the filters correctly in their boxes." It's been stuck to the door for 7 years...the filter boxes are still a mess.

Yes, magnolia is a wonderful flower.
