Back in the day some of the bulk loader companies used to use "a penny per shot" or words to that effect in their advertisements.

Does anyone else remember those ads?

It was directly printed on the Watson box. This, from an ebay listing:

A penny then is a dime today. You can get 100 ft for $70, which works out to a dime per shot. Compared to 15 cents per shot buying it preloaded.

But, that's Fomapan, not Tri-X.

Or 100 foot rolls of Tri-X for $160, which works out to be about 25 cents per shot.
