Hi Folks,

Time for a quick update. OK, first things first, where are we at with this exchange.

There is still one printer outstanding. I have contacted TheToadMen to see what has happened. Unfortunately, he has informed me that he has had a few family concerns over the last few weeks. Unfortunately a three weeks ago his father was admitted to hospital with Heart failure and Lung issues, so his mind has been elsewhere. He has, though, offered to send through the prints express to Australia. If people are happy to wait just a little longer, he will organise it.

OK, as the sign up for the next round is nearly on us, I thought I would make a quick comment. I would still like to stick to having the signup cutoff set to the end of October and stick the schedule. I won't, though, open signup until we have pretty much finalised this round. This might mean that signup is only open for 2 or so weeks, which I think we can handle.

Cheers
Ashley

My middle name is patience

Thank you all for your patience and kindness. The prints are ready now, so off to find a decent wrapping to send it safely across some continents, oceans, wildfires an erupting volcanos ...

BTW: my father isn't out of the woods (i.e. hospital) yet, but he seems a bit better since Monday. His hart works for 20% but he can breath normally again and isn't totally, immensely exhausted anymore. I hope they've found the right combination of pacemaker settings and medicines to keep his hart at a steady and durable balance, without his lungs, liver and kidneys protesting anymore. Last week it looked like he might not make it at all, but there is still good hope, believe and faith.
He's turning 75 on November 7th and we plan to celebrate this with the whole family. I hope he'll be up to it by then. Otherwise we'll throw a small surprise party at the hospital.

Bert from Holland

A bit delayed again, but it's in the mail to Hoffy.
I've been at my parents, cleaning up in and around the house, between visiting my father in the hospital.
Today we'll have a talk with the doctors about his options, but it doesn't look great.
So if you can say a prayer ...
Thanks,
Bert from Holland

My father's hart is down to only 10%. He'll transfer to another hospital this week to see if he qualifies for an mechanical hart pump (to take over the function of his hart). If so, he'll undergo open heart surgery. If not, he'll be out of options and time soon. So please say a prayer for him.

About my photos, those were shipped from Holland on October 16th. Is was promised the parcel would arrive in about 9 days. But the Track&Trace only showed today it arrived in Australia yesterday. So I hope they'll arrive soon at Hoffy's ???

Good things come to those that wait...the wait is over (time in transit notwithstanding)

Hey folks,

Time to fess up - I said I would get the prints in the post ASAP, but there is a slight problem - they are all sitting on my desk at home. Sniff, blubber - I have a head cold, it was my wifes birthday today, I am starting to suffer from middle age (or any other excuse I can conjure up at the moment).

I promise that they will make it in the post tomorrow.

(I'm just heading down to the car park at work now to give myself a stern talking to and if I don't listen, maybe an uppercut.....)

Great! Glad to see that they are making their destinations.

While we wait for others to get their packets and start making comments, do we want to go to round 13? If so (& considering we are going into silly season), what time frames are people interested in? Do we go November, December, January, or do we hold off?

cheers
