The title of the thread says it almost all and DP Review gives a bit more of information https://www.dpreview.com/news/88531...s-a-new-35mm-black-and-white-film-from-russia

The company, called FOQUS, proudly says the film is entirely made in Russia while admitting there are some issues with the new film (small dots). If costumers don't care, why would they!

The link to FOQUS website, for those of you lucky enough to read Russian, or interested in seeing some "examples" of the what this film offers is here http://foqusstore.com/novaya-cherno-belaya-fotoplenka-rossijskogo-proizvodstva-tip-d-po-novoj-tsene

Will there be a supply problem because of the various trade snctions imposed on Russia?

I wonder if this possibly comes from the factory that makes Slavich paper. Their website seems to suggest they have capabilities to make such a film

From their statement it is clear that FOQUS is only the distributor, though they gave their name to the film.

Well UK does, but I don't know if it covers photographic items

The "small dots" are a feature for which Lomographers will pay extra.
If so, Kodak may have found a new profit centre - 120 film with "interesting" backing paper.

No more comments on the Foqus film?
It is hard to believe that the russian manufacturers would release such film, even as tollcoating.

Thank you for that link. So it all started 2 years ago.

Different emulsions. One is left. I asked him to buy his film while I was in Moscow. But it never happened. He is not interested to take PayPal and send it. But sells it in Russia by classeifield in rangefinder.ru
It seems like he still sells both emulsions, here's the original classified ad: Dead Link Removed
It also says he'll post worldwide.

Recently, an Instagram account named Silberra Film has been showcasing emulsions they are working on, including a 200 speed panchromatic stock with some extended sensitivity. Looks very nice to say the least.
