As others have said, Portra 160 is the king of shadow detail, Portra 400 (which I rate at 250) has a little more saturation and contrast to it, and Ektar goes in my junk store and pinhole cameras to make up for the lower resolution and the zip lost in flare from uncoated lenses or no lenses at all. I've found Fuji negative films to be more difficult to color correct, but that may be my problem more than the film's. I use all three of the Kodak emulsions and am very satisfied with each.
