As some of you know my wife shoots the smaller format 4x5 and we have recently added a new member to the family, a 4x5 Wista.

It looked a bit naked so I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and build a leather case for it. Included are a couple of pictures of said case. It should make a nice gift for her for the holidays.

Thanks.

The quotation is from Jack London:

“I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”

Its one of Tif's favorites.

A great gift that you made with your own hands Robert that I'm sure your wife will cherish.

Thanks folks you're all very kind. Tif loves bags so it should be a big hit on our trip over Christmas.

No, it's actually been a joint venture. She tells me what she likes and I do my best to make it happen.

Robert,

That's just a wonderful gift.

My wife has a 7x17 camera in need of a case.....when can you have it finished?
