@jay moussy : It was a plastic reel. I probably made a mistake while loading it onto the reel (it's only my 2nd time). It went fine the second time, after I took the reel apart and retried. I don't have a darkroom, so it was inside a changing bag.
Concerning the photo supply market in France or Europe, you can find pretty much everything you want, but I would advise looking for it online. There aren't much analog stores opened, and they are mostly in big cities (Paris, Lyon...). So far, I've used Nation Photo (in Paris) and Fotoimpex (in Germany) for all my purchases, and have been very happy with both. They won't send anything via airmail. Just anticipate your purchases a bit, because snail mail is... well.. slow
Edit : side note, the only film stock unavailable here, as far as I know, is Ultrafine. I don't know why.
