Hi

1)I live in Denmark and have ordered chemicals and film etc. from photoimpex.de before... BUT when I looked in the new catalogue from 2007 I couldnt seem to find any chemicals :S where did it go ?

2)I need some wetting-agent and some wash-aid of some sort. I recon that this can be found cheaper than the ones provided by Ilford ? I need some Xtol developer as well, does this come i liquid form?

3)Where should I order all of this, if not Photoimpex, ? :smile:

Regards, kim

Kim;

We have been over the washaid question a lot lately. There is a divided opinion on this but after years of experience, I find it to be unnessesary unless you are severly limited in water.

After all, it is another chemical and it too has to be washed out creating additional effluent.

As for Photoimpex, from what I read they have a good reputation so you might consider contacting them or contacting Mirko directly as he uses APUG.

Kim, XTOL is available in powdered form only. You shouldn't really worry about washaid in the case of film.

Kim,

Have you considered mixing your own chemistry? Washing aid is sodium sulfite for the most part. I believe this formula came from the darkroom cook-book. use 100ml of water, 10 grams of sulfite, 2.5 grams of bi-sulfite, and add water to 500ml.

Sincerely;

The chemicals are on pages 32-48 of the catalogue, I bought some in their store as late as Saturday. :confused:
