I am always interested in collecting developer recipes for Kodak Technical Pan for pictorial use. A lot of posts regarding the availability of Agfa Rodinal recently. Here are two Rodinal recipes for Tech Pan. I would like to see what you get and make this post an interesting collection of recipes for TP.

1) Tech Pan in Rodinal 1:100

Film Speed: EI 25
Dilution: 1:100
Time: 8 minutes at 68 degrees F

Steps:
30 sec. inversion/tapping constantly
30 sec. sleep

==== Loop 7 times
5 sec. inversion/tapping
55 sec. sleep
==== End of Loop

2) Tech Pan in Rodinal 1:300

Film Speed: EI 25
Dilution: 1:300 in Sodium Sulphite Solution
Time: 30 minutes

To make sodium sulphite solution:
Add ½ teaspoon sodium sulphite to 1 liter water

To make rodinal working solution:
Add 1 part rodinal to 300 parts sodium sulphite solution above

Steps:
Inversion/Tapping one minute
Sleep 12 minutes
Inversion/Tapping one minute
Sleep 12 minutes
Inversion/Tapping one minute
Sleep three minutes

For both recipes: Use diluted Stop Bath and don't overfix.

Both recipes will yield normal contrast negatives for pictorial photography use.

Via letter dated 1992 from Richard Farber, author of Historic Photographic Processes, whom I met at the house of a mutual friend in Den Haag a couple of years earlier:

25 ASA Rodinal 1:300 12 minutes
agitation of 2 inversions at 30 second intervals

When our first conversation turned to what we were working on at the time, we discovered we were both working on a way to do Tech Pan in Rodinal for pictorial work, and headed down the same path. He mailed me later after his method had been accepted for publication by the British Journal of Photograpy and a Dutch magazine (which he didn't name).
