Hola,
When I got my Cambo, inside it was another film back. It said 9x12 on it. I don't know much about the format. Is it just a 4x5 back with 9x12 openning? I noticed JandC sells 9x12 holders for it but no 9x12 film.
I haven't really seen any photos with 9x12.
Is it worth pursuing getting film/holders for this? I wouldn't mind trading it for a 6x9 or 6x12 back.

9x12 holders are exactly the same size as 4x5" holders, so I can't see any reason for a separate back?

At J6C, look under "metric sheet film" or something like that.

To expand on Ole's answer. The more common LF film sizes are manufactured in both English and metric sizes. The external dimensions of the film holders are the same for both the English and the metric sizes. 9x12 and 18x24 are relatively uncommon but 13x18 (5x7 metric) is fairly common, especially since there are more emulsions available in 13x18 than in 5x7. I generally shoot 5x7 black and white and 13x18 color.

Thanks guys. Turns out, I am sooooo STUPID. I really hadn't looked at inside the case and this time, I took it out to play with it.

Turns out, that it IS a 4x5 back but writing on it has 9x12 and very faint worn out 4x5 written on it as well. I didn't see that part. So now I have a Graphic back and also one of those that I haven't worked with in years! Its the kind with a handle on a and you bring the handle to 90 degree position and it pushes a spring loaded thing.

I'd love to trade that back for a 6x12

Just a heads up -- the 9x12 Fidelity holders that J&C sells will not fit a 9x12 plate camera. They're so you can use 9x12cm film in a 4x5 camera.

And since I just finally got some film sheaths, here's to hoping J&C carries 9x12 film again! :D
