From 1984 onwards Calumet Caltar-branded lenses were made by Rodenstock. They were identical in manufacture, specifications, and performance and differed only in the branding and price, Caltars being less expensive. This multicoated 90mm f/4.5 Caltar is a pre-green-stripe Grandagon-N. It's in excellent condition with almost no signs of use. The glass is clean, clear, and unmarked as far as I can see. The Copal 1 shutter, while untested, sounds appropriate at all speeds. The lens accepts 82mm filters and comes with the original front and rear caps as well as the shutter retaining ring. It weighs 688 grams with caps and retaining ring according to my kitchen scale.

This lens has a 236mm image circle at f/22 and offers amounts of movement on 5x7; I doubt you'll ever run out of coverage on 4x5. The rear cell diameter is 67mm (70mm cap), make sure that will fit through your front standard. It's not impossible to use this on a small-hole front standard, but it's annoying as you'll have to remove the rear cell to put the lensboard on the camera, then remove the camera back to reach in and screw in the rear cell again.

Several of these are currently on offer from Japanese ebay sellers with highly (and high!) aspirational BIN prices. I believe my $350 asking price, which includes PayPal fees and insured US shipping, to be considerably more realistic. The lens and I are both in the US so there are no tariff issues for US-based buyers to be concerned with. International shipping is considerably more costly and will entail a cost adder representing the difference between the international and domestic prices. I don't aim to make a profit on shipping.
