any recommendations on blocking this without having to change the whole bellow?
The back screen is fogged
Black archival fabric tape used for book restoration or art can patch up pin holes. Possibly with a little help from a flexible acrylic black paint. If they are really pin hole sized, the black paint may be enough.
The rear matte screen is meant to focus on, not to see through. The lens forms an image on the surface like in an SLR. You look at the screen not through the lens.
There are no silly questions - don't worry! It's all good; ask whatever you want and if the answer is obvious, that's only convenient, because it allows you to move on quickly to the next challenge that requires your focus.
Very nice camera! Everyone will have an opinion on the lens. I know in my own hands the 300mm gets the most use. If I were in Japan, for shure I'd be looking for Nikon and Fuji lenses for the camera.
