I was wondering if I could get some guidance on converting an enlarger from 4x5 to 8x10. I've recently built a darkroom, and the search for an 8x10 enlarger is proving to be a difficult one. I have seen some people convert 4x5 enlargers to 8x10, and I was wondering what enlargers are best for these conversions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, so thank you in advance.

Aren't the Beselers, and Dursts easily converted? I never bothered converting my 4x5 Fujimoto (which I could have), instead I converted an old copy camera thrown out by a screen printing company, years ago.

Are you handy? Do you have access to a good shop for metal, wood, CNC,? How good are at navigating McMaster Carr? Have knowledge of a sales rep. To call for bellows or can make your own.

They are really easy to build if you can answer yes to the above. I made mine. No problem. With ease, within a month it can be built.
