Just finished my first 8x10 contact print on Azo. I must say, this whole scheme is fabulous. Why I didn't use it before is beyond me.
First of all, I have to thank Michael A. Smith and Paula Chamlee for prodding me in this direction. Their Azo Forum is a wonderful resource of information and it has been most helpful.
To me, the 8x10 camera (a Deardorff) is the easiest to use of any camera I've experienced, including the 4x5.
Developing the negative by inspection was a breeze. Much easier to see under the green light than 4x5.
Printing on Azo was as easy as Michael says it is. I even did some significant dodging/burning and that is also a whole lot easier than it is under an enlarger. The only thing I missed in this session was the metronone; I think my son must have taken it back to school with him.
I would never have gotten to this point if it hadn't been for Michael and Paula's website and making contact with Michael. So, I just want to say Thank You!
