We have an enlarger lens which fits to 6X6 Enlarger. Can I make a curved film plane rails 6X17 Camera or does it vignette at this size and 6X12 is better option ?
The widest 80mm Rodenstock enlarging lens I know of is designed for 6x7 images, not 6x17 or 6x12. Still an 80mm EL would cover 6x17 with enough bellows extension, but at that point it would be better to use a macro lens because you would be operating at high magnifications.
That is not how a normal optical system is supposed to work. A proper lens images a plane (or a scene at infinity) onto a plane perpendicular to the main axis (scheimpflug is outside the scope of this discussion).curved plane camera where film to lens distance 80mm everywhere
If on the other hand, the present discussion is about a lens sitting in front of the film, like in most cameras, there is no way a 80mm lens will cover 617 or 612.
