Good morning all - I mounted a Nikon D3 on the ceiling of my darkroom a few weeks ago and let it run for a full Saturday's worth of printing. Just finished the video this weekend- it was a lot of fun producing it.

Enjoy !

Thanks for posting. The video is great, and a lot of fun.
I showed it to my wife, who now expects similar production from my printing sessions .

PS I've shared the link with a couple of groups I am a member of, including my Darkroom Group

The music "Take Five" is misplaced... should've been "Take Two". :D

Enjoyable! Couple of comments:
1. When do you take a potty break? At my age, that comes often. Of course, I tend to drink coffee in the darkroom.
2. You didn't show clean up. It takes me another hour or two after a long darkroom session.
3. Yes, the music was the Dave Brubeck Quartet, one of my favorites for 60 years. However! Take Five was composed by Paul Desmond, one of my favorite musicians. He inspired me to learn to play the saxophone (never even close to as well as Paul does).
4. Keep on doin'!

It is not a forum.
It is a real life group of people!
We are based in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley area and meet at least twice a month. All of us do darkroom work for at least part of our photography. Digital and alternative process subjects come up too, but our interest in film and darkroom are the reason we continue.

You're absolutely correct, Paul Desmond did write Take Five . I did take a few short breaks, they just aren't long enough to notice. I did film all of the cleanup but, again,
It went by so fast you probably didn't see it. I set up to shoot a 4 second exposures dry 8 seconds. There's a lot of fiddling around with time lapse.

Ahhhh, I get it. Wish there was something like that near my home, sounds like a great group of folks to be around.

I don't think any of us would have wanted to see the potty breaks anyway.
