Yup - Dave Brubeck's Take Five off the Time Out LP. One of my all time favorites.Nice jazz. Time Out?
You're very welcome - I really enjoyed making it.Great video, thank you for sharing it with us!
Thanks - I am fortunate to have the space and a loving, generous wife.I envy that darkroom so much........
He was a brilliant composer and artist. I'm also a big fan of the Modern Jazz Quartet.Only Brubeck is worthy to accompany this piece of cool.
Nice work!
Yeah - I missed that part, my 10 year old Son pointed it out to me.I enjoyed that love the way the clock speeds round, the prints look excellent.
Thanks Man !Thanks for posting. The video is great, and a lot of fun.
I showed it to my wife, who now expects similar production from my printing sessions.
PS I've shared the link with a couple of groups I am a member of, including my Darkroom Group
Nah - I drink Diet Pepsi, you can see the big mason jar full of it on the table at the bottom right hand side of hte screen.hmmm, didn't see anybeer breaks?
It is not a forum.Thanks Man !
I should find this darkroom forum - what's it called?
You're absolutely correct, Paul Desmond did write Take FiveEnjoyable! Couple of comments:
1. When do you take a potty break? At my age, that comes often. Of course, I tend to drink coffee in the darkroom.
2. You didn't show clean up. It takes me another hour or two after a long darkroom session.
3. Yes, the music was the Dave Brubeck Quartet, one of my favorites for 60 years. However! Take Five was composed by Paul Desmond, one of my favorite musicians. He inspired me to learn to play the saxophone (never even close to as well as Paul does).4. Keep on doin'!
Ahhhh, I get it. Wish there was something like that near my home, sounds like a great group of folks to be around. It is not a forum.
It is a real life group of people!
We are based in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley area and meet at least twice a month. All of us do darkroom work for at least part of our photography. Digital and alternative process subjects come up too, but our interest in film and darkroom are the reason we continue.
You're very welcome - I'll have to take some photos of the enlarger - I love using it.Thanks a lot for sharing the video! Please post a few pictures of your darkroom and the DeVere enlarger.
You're absolutely correct, Paul Desmond did write Take Five. I did take a few short breaks, they just aren't long enough to notice. I did film all of the cleanup but, again,
It went by so fast you probably didn't see it. I set up to shoot a 4 second exposures dry 8 seconds. There's a lot of fiddling around with time lapse.
