This 75mm f/4 Apo-Rodagon-N has been sitting in my safe in its two-piece plastic case for far too long. I've never used it or even removed it from its case until today when I took pictures - I use a 90mm enlarging lens for my 6x7 and infrequent 6x6 negatives - so it's time it found a new home. It appears new and unused and still has its original Rodenstock quality seal firmly attached.
The Apo-Rodagon-N series is/was the top of the Rodenstock enlarging lens line and included (at various times) focal lengths of 45mm, 50mm, 75mm, 80mm, 90mm, 105mm, and 150mm. The 45, 75, and 150 are long discontinued. Interestingly, the 75mm doesn't appear in any Rodenstock literature I've been able to track down, suggesting a very short product life and low production. I assume it was meant for the 6x6 format. My best guess is that it fell victim the dual forces of being introduced near the end of film's glory days, when sales of analog gear of all sorts were already in decline, and being too close in focal length to the 80mm, which could cover 6x7 in addition to 6x6. B+H currently shows the 50, 80, 90, and 105 as still available at breathtaking prices (over $2000!!!). Apparently Rodenstock have reintroduced the 90mm, which had been discontinued for may years.
My asking price of $250 includes in-US insured shipping and PayPal fees. PayPal G&S is fine. Shipment to PayPal-verified addresses only. Please contact me if you're outside the US so we can discuss shipping options, but note that I will only use traceable and insured international shipping, and I will not undervalue the lens for customs purposes as doing so is both illegal and limits my ability to insure it.
