I know that 70mm film is hard to get, but does any one have any experience in loading 35mm film in the magazine? As i understand it supports 54exp, so i would like to try to link 2 or 3 35mm films, if possible?

The 70mm cartridges are just big 35mm cartridges. The back advances the film out of one cartride and the take up is into another cartridge. You'd need to make spacers for the spools if only using one strip of film, your roll would be about 15 feet long plus some take up on both ends. There's an Alden 70mm loader that looks like a giant Watson 66. If you did bulk 35mm you wouldn't need to splice rolls together. The downside? Not sure how flat the magazine will hold skinny strips of film, but have fun.

Hello just have seen this coming from an other 70mm-thread.
I have multiple good news regarding the Mamyia RB67/70.
1. there is someone who can transform it easily to a 70/120 -model. he told me about multiple methods using the 61.5m long-roll film.
2. we have found a fantastic idea to add a special shim for 120-use in 70mm-spools. first on Kodak-version only since it has a clamp. i tested it with a shim-mockup in Graflex RH-50-67/70/4x5-back. it has rubberized rollers and no perforations needed to run the counter. in HB A70 the counter is connected to a spacing-calculator.
Altering this back is a seperate them. Nokton24 has done and described that in Rangefinderforum.
But i must test it in Mamiya RB 67/70mm -back first since there we have a cog-wheel which seems to be used to transport film. will the smaller 120 or 35mm film then transported properly. if the back will be altered for 120-films then 35-120-adapters can be used. I will test 35 to 35mm cartridge-solution with no need for dark-cloth.
I will discuss how 120 is behaving in Mamiya RB67/70 with the person who can alter it. Its someone who produces pinhole-cams-in europe.
my idea is using eighter spliced 120-film without paper or cut 70mm longroll. In Graflex RH-50 for 4x5 the good thing is one can set back the counter if ultralong-roll is used. In Mamyia RB67/70 one has a max- amount of images. And one must take care to calculate where one wants to cut the film when using the small-reel-method (220 lenght), see other thread about 2517 (70mm, 1.78cm) reel or standard 2500-reels used.

I have now two Mamyia RB67/70-vaccum-backs. one is a vermeercameras-conversion. donor(only not takeup) may be 120/220 or longroll 61.5mm(some say 61mm) in 70mm cartridges. the converted back-has its base integrated in a 40mm pinhole-camera by vermeercameras. The film-part with counter should be overhauled. I am struggling testing 61.5mm film in it. impossible to make the counter run. has certainly to do with the lacking perforation but doesnt explain the main counter-problem since on my standard back the counter-after some workarounds(steps) are done is working. I am still in learn-phase to proceed correctly. Advantage of non-working-counter. 70mm-cartridge may have surplus-film passing 54-images-mark. e.g. 0.1 vericolor HC can be wound to 6.5. thinner film much more.
Perforated film would be advised which is possible even when using 61.5mm-film(or 61mm if you like, which is standard size of 120/220?).
I have a special cutter by xkaes which is cutting not on both sides(leaving inbetween perforations cuts which is not good for labs/could damage machine) but only on one side leaving perforations on other side. this way cut 70mm film can be used on any 120 better 220-magazine. on Mamyia RB67/70 with its vaccum-option filmpaper must be avoided.
Alternative is using 70mm film right from the beginning and cutting afterwards if one cannot/does not want to develop 70mm film, which is easy with Jobo 2500 or Paterson 4-reels.Discussed elsewhere.
Longroll cut 70mm or spliced 120/220 in 70mm-cartridges would ask for a shim to guide the film on the spool. Me and a friend developped a shim(no yet 3dprinted) which reduces spool from 70mm to 61.5mmm width. If film is cut by two cuts there are two slim ones needed on both ends. if one is leaving perforation on one side only one but thicker shim/disc is needed. I tested two-disc-procedure with a mockup succesfully. i fear we cannot yet offere this in 2019 but mid 2020. too much serious problems here.

35mm
yes i also tried out 35-120-adapters. but not yet in the Mamyia RB67/70 back. I would advise to get metallic adapters.had troubles with plastic in Kiev60.if then only slim plastic ones. cameraworks has them. see my dramatic findings
in kievreport-delphiforums under kiev60-i am europanoram. the standard-adapter(too thick) will break the axis of the blade on left donor-side. Sad truth-pls listen if Kiev60 or similar-cam(Pentacon Six) owner. dont know which cams are equally built inside film-chamber.
i could imagine 35mm film in this back is not easy at least when perforation is needed for image-spacing. 35mm-cartridge in donor-side is centered. so perforation on takeupspool will not go through film/image-spacing-wheel. I would be wise to go take the same steps like described before but using 70mm-cartriges. we would then also offer shim for 35mm-film. We will start with Kodak 70mm-cartridges which have thinner core than Linhof. That means we would have to offer two versions of all of them. thin/thick 70/61.5mm and 70/35mm x 2(Kodak/Linhof)= 8 versions.
