500 Tele-Tessar for Hasselblad

I would love to hear some first hand experiences from users of the Hasselblad 500mm Tele-Tessar. I'm considering adding this lens to my gear because I really miss the telephoto compression (my longest 6x6 lens is the 250) that I love with my 300 on my Canon. In reviewing the threads at different sites (yep, I read others besides APUG!) I'm finding mixed reviews for this venerable lens - prone to the shakes, tough to focus at f8...or very crisp images and a solid performer.
Anybody currently using the lens want to chime in and share your experiences? And if anybody has used both the Tele-Tessar and the APO version, I'd love to hear about that too (even though I'm not sure I can afford the APO!).

I can only offer second hand impressions but just in case it may be also helpfull: The 5.6/350mm together with an 1,4x converter is more compact, lighter, has the same speed and FL and can also act as the shorter, more versatile lens. And from the hearsay files: It's just as sharp or when choosing the SA even better.
