4x5 bellow's extention???

I have an old Kodak Pony Premo # 6 now when I extend the bellows to the front and use the markings on the board for inf: 100 feet etc., But the bellows also extend's beyond that by a good 6 inch's NOW If I were to take a foto with the Bellows fully extended would I be in macro mode or something else???
I have attached two foto's of the camera: any thoughts would be appreciated very much:

Depends on the lens. A 6" lens needs 6" extension to focus at infinity. Additional extension will decrease the min focus distance for close up work. 6" of additional extension will cost you two stops and put you into macro mode. Micro mode means that the image size as recorded on the film is larger than actual.

The bellows extended at the focal length of the lens gives you infinity focus. Let's say for the sake of argument and as an example this DOF is from 25ft to infinity. Any further extension of the bellows allows closer focusing, thus causing a loss of focus at infinity. Now for example your DOF might be changed to 15 ft to 2000ft. It just depends on how close you focus (how much bellows extension there is) and what the focal length of the lens is. Tables are available to give you these values. Once you focus past infinity you will have to figure exposure compensation at some point. IF the bellows is extended twice the focal length of the lens you are shooting at a ratio of 1:1 The object will appear life size but of course may not be entirely viewable.
