Ok up-graded to SF 8.5 after using SF since 2012... with old laptop and only 2gb memory, did not download above or use version above r35. Like the program very much, but its very German. 
(BTW I'm Dutch/German descent)
Now in a 'new' for me laptop.. Dell e6410 with Win 7 & 4gig memory... I'm being driven crazy.. with the different operating system and perhaps the better version, when I use the Densiometer Black & White points, with the preferences set for 5 and 95, in SF 8.5 it does not make those points. White makes 3 & Black 100.
Yet in WIn 7 and loading version r35 up instead, it works, what to me is normal. Click on the exact same point that you can see sampled, and white goes 5, and black 95.
Those who use this program .. do you have an ideas what's going on?
