Hey guys.

I use a Jobo 7451 enlarger (known as LPL 74500 II outside Europe). I bought it a few years ago used and it only came with the glass carrier for 4x5 negatives. I used black paper to mask 35mm and 120 film negatives but that really was cumbersome.

Since about a year I also have a 3d printer in my basement (Creality Ender 5 pro) and decided that I will make my own carrier. I took all measures of the 4x5 carrier and made a design in Fusion 360. It is adjustable for all film sizes, I personally have printed it for 35 mm (24x36), 6x6 and 6x7 by now. Works perfectly

If any of you owns a Jobo / LPL / Saunders 4x5 enlarger and needs some negative carriers and has access to a 3d printer you can download them at thingiverse.com (you need to be logged in for the link to work, otherwise you will see a 404 fault):

The filenames give the cutout size. I prepared carriers for 24x36, 24x65 (XPAN), 645, 6x6, 6x7, 6x8 and 6x9. If you need anything else, let me know, it can be adjusted in minutes.

You will find four different files there called base, top, ring and center.

The top can be used as it has been printed.

the bottom piece comes in two parts, base and ring. You also need the center to align the two, see image (1). The ring is needed to center the base exactly in the middle of the enlarger above the lens and I decided to not print in in one piece because I then would have had to use support structures which would have scarred the base.

Add a few drop of glue to the ring (only on the actual ring, the connection in the middle will be cut away later). then stick the center into the hole in the base and put the ring on top so that everything aligns perfectly, see image (2).

When the glue has dried a few minutes, cut the middle part of the ring away, see image (3).

Done.

nice work! I've been using my 3d printer to print all sorts of photo related items. Most recently the adapter ring for a hasselblad pro shade to use on the 40mm lens.

I really do not understand the behaviour of this stupid website. If logged in my link works always, if not, it never does. The name of the thing is „Film carrier for LPL / Saunders / Jobo 4x5 enlargers 35 mm and 120 film (7450 7451 7452)“ but I also cannot search for this. Thingiverse has become a really annoying piece of junk over the last years.

What size do you need?

I currently have cutouts for the following film sizes:

36.4x24.4 for normal 35 mm pictures
37.6x25.6 if you want to print a little frame around the image
58.0x45.0 for 645
58.0x58.0 for square (allows me to print a little frame around my hasselblad negatives)
58.0x72.0 for 6x7
58.0x82.0 for 6x8
58.0x92.0 for 6x9
65.4x24.4 for XPAN

I'd love the 35mm and the 6x6 files please & 6x9 means that I can do everything in between, if easier you can email them to Paul@Press-Photos.com, many many thanks.

Hi.

Due to the problems of Thingiverse since some weeks, it is better to upload them here anyhow. Find the files for all holders mentioned above in the attached zip file. If other formats are required, just let me know.

Thank you so much for the designs! Is there a possibility to also get the design for the 4x5 carrier? That would be great!
