Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.167 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I've never had the zooms but I used a Soligor 250 prime MD mount for a few years on my Minoltas and liked it a lot.

I once owned one. It's a good lens optically, and quite well constructed, but it weighs a ton, much more than one would expect for a fairly modestly spec'd lens by modern standards. So much so that I tired of carrying it around and got rid of it.

FYI, it's actually the Soligor 35-105 f3.5 C/D Macro Zoom. It weighs around 31 ounces.

Are you sure about the 37? Isn't it 35 instead?
Anyway, you might as well consider the two following Nikkor. Their weight: 510 and 600gr respectively:
35-105 f:3,5-4,5
35-135 f:3,5-4,5
They shouln't be too expensive on the second-hand market.
