..I'm currently thinking of two options: Sony 35mm f 1.8 oss or Zeiss 35mm f 2.8. (the latter probably used). What do you people think?

I forgot that Sony made a 30 1/4 in a cropped sensor, just don't know if it was offered in Sony E mount.

thanks Paul - a 35mm f/1.2 sounds interesting, but I don't see a crop version in the Sigma catalog - only a full frame one, which would be too large for a Sony a 6000. Can you send a Link? THanks,

Your right, must have been a hurry and misread, thought it was DC. But there is the new 35mm F2 is a C level lens in E mount, about 1/2 the price.

..in the end I went full frame: Sony a7c2 for a relatively stealthy camera.

But did you ever make a lens decision? When I purchased my SEL35F28Z, the SEL35F18 didn't yet exist, so the decision was an easy one. Roger Cicala tested the latter:

What I like about the older lens is that it's tiny, doesn't weigh a lot, and the optics are pretty good.

For 50 mm coverage with a FF camera, I purchased a Voigtländer 50/2 Apo-Lanthar almost a year ago. Manual focus, but with electronics for good stuff, like EXIF data and automatically bringing up a magnified view when you focus. I'm still in awe of it.
