Does anyone know what current 35mm film has a solid spindle spool? I need to make a take up spool for my Kiev 4. I have done this in the past, but don't remember what brand spool is needed. I tried Fuji, but they have a slot in the middle of the spool. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Gerry

If I remember correct, Kodak Tri-X has a solid spindle the the film is attached by tape.

Just go down to your local minilab and ask for a handful of empties, I'm sure you'll find one that is solid.

If you have a fine toothed metal saw blade most any spool should do. You do have to chose carefully where you should cut.

It is best to make it easy to slot in the film, for when you only have two hands to hold the camera back and loose spool and loose cassette.
