Hi all

Just a curious question. I went thru all my old 35mm and APS film from consumer point and shoot which was before I took up photography. It got me thinking about the accuracy of the focus. With the better cameras like the premium Contax T2 and the Ricoh GR's were subjects really in focus? Ie if one focussed on the person's eye or is this a tough ask for a compact?

Cheers.

only you can tell if your focus is where you intended it to be with any particular camera.
Since a lot of compact camera have wide angle lenses DoF is usually quite great so what may appear to be out of focus could well be camera movement.
I've always found it really difficult to hold a small lightweight camera still when pressing the shutter.
