This is a camera used at Taipei Museum / Taiwan to reproduce chinese art paintings , drawings and caligraphy. Camera lenght is 5 meters , Film widht is 2 meters. They ?roduce from the camera 12 color separations.

I used at different variety of films for argon laser to uv to daylight at prepress which roll width 120 centimeters to 30 meters. I think film could be from this kind of batch.

Who produces the lenses ? I cant even calculate the focal lenght ?

Umut

Focal length for a process type lens covering about 45 deg. would be about 4 meters if they are using it at 1:1 reproduction. Probably produced by some Chinese optical company.

Depending on the size of the original and the magnification used one of these APO Nikkor process lenses might have been used.

1210mm f/12.5, image circle at 1:1 = 1750mm diameter

1780mm f/14, image circle at 1:1 = 2310mm diameter

Awesome.

The 12 color separations really has me scratching my head though...

Chris ,

cmyk + pantone inks which are true pigmented colors , not mix. If you find a pantone catalog , you can compare 4 color separation of a catalog color with true pigmented colors.
