Hello, I have been away from color printing for a while. I am setting up my new 16x20 3 slot Nova processor for Making Color Prints.

I plan to use thew slots as follows:

Slot 1) Developer
Slot 2) Acid Stop Bath
Slot 3) Bleach/Fix

Does that sound correct?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. At what temp are you processing? Just remember that RA4 developing is temp dependent. If your Nova is temp controlled then even the full 35C may be possible but it will work at room temp, say 23-25 C but need about 2 minutes

I am going to try to process at 95F (35C) for 50 seconds to 1 minute at this temp?

I am setting the processor up now it will take a couple hours to get the temperature calibrated - I'm sure.

It has been some time since I did RA4 processing with a Jobo processor which like the Nova is temp controlled and in those days I used Tetenal chemicals but if I recall correctly it was about 45 secs at 35C so 50 secs sounds fine.

The great thing about a Nova is that even in total darkness the paper can be moved by "feel" from slot to slot very easily and each slot's chemical will be at exactly the same temp. Blix time is quite short at 35C and it then allows you to switch on the lights towards the end of the blix time.

Best of luck
