Just got my 2 non-functional Nikon F5's back from Gram! They look and sound great. Never thought I would be able to get them repaired, but he did it!
He even replaced the upper and lower external plates with a new shutter control unit on the really beat-up unit with parts from a F5 DCS (NASA digitally modified camera), so it looks the World better. Only compromise there is losing the multi-exposure capability, which I approved before he did it. I never use that function anyway on a F5...
Also, the MF-28 data back was not repairable, but again, I dislike data backs, so no problem there either.
