Just wondering...I have an 11x14 Eastman 2d. I was wondering if the 8x10 and 5x7 models take the same size lensboard?? If you have various film size Eastman 2d cameras, could you measure your lensboard? I will measure mine also in a little while and post back.

The 6.5 x 8.5 Eastman also takes the 6" boards, but I think the 5x7 requires smaller. You might check with Jim Galli, who has a 5x7 Eastman No. 2 posted now in the classifieds ("Gorgeous 5x7 Complete Portrait Outfit").

Well my 11x14 Eastman 2d uses 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 " lensboards. Is there no standard? Would this be what some people are calling 6x6..?? I measured mine on the very accurate scale of my paper cutter baseboard.

I measured my lens board with vernier calipers which may not be as accurate as your paper cutter baseboard  I'm going to say that my lens boards are 6" square +/- .01 inch.

I have an 11x14 Rochester Improved Empire view camera, which is very similar to the Eastman Kodak 11x14, and it uses 5 3/4 by 5 3/4 lens boards.

So, It seems the 11x14 2d uses 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 inch boards, the 8x10 uses 6 inch boards, and the 5x7 uses 4.5 x 4.5 boards. One would think that within a "family" of cameras that have identical design points, the lensboards "might" be standardized....but nooooo.

Could it be due to the fact that most of them were built 'for' rather than 'by' Eastman Kodak? Just a thought. Anyhow, my 1925-ish 10x8 2D definitely used 6" x 6" lensboards 'cos I had to make one myself.

They’re not all the same. The 8 x 10 D 2 have different size lens boards. That goes the same for the 5 x 7 I have 3 different sizes listed for it.
