A beginner asks:

Regarding the 210 APO Symmar lens and Copal 1, to disassemble the front and rear lenses from the shutter, is there a 'catch' that needs to be released before unscrewing the sections--or, simply turn until they come apart?

The front and rear cells should easily unscrew without any sort of 'catch'.

Get a thin rubber Jar Opening aid or two. Grip the shutter firmly and turn the element you wish to remove with the opener aid and turn the element counterclockwise.
