Good video Andrew.
I was also impressed by the shots of the midges in action!

Hi Andrew. I haven’t watched the vid yet as I was very excited to reply to you. My mother grew up out there and we took her on a trip out to Dorothy some years ago. I spent quite a few hours photographing the old abandoned churches there. I will attach a picture she had of mine hanging in her apartment up until her death. Larry

Good vid. Can’t wait for your next one.

Thank you for watching it, Larry. That's a lovely photo of the Catholic church. Lovely colours! What film did you use? I sure would liked to have chatted with your mum about her days there! Take care!

Those little buggers were way sneakier than the mosquitos. At least you and see and hear them coming! 😄 I suspect there are more of them this year due to a wet Spring and early Summer... It's the same at our place last month. We never had an issue with them in the past like this...

Sorry to have to tell you this Andrew that was before I switched back to analog. It was taken on my Nikon D600. I would continue to use digital for any trip where I wanted to shoot hundreds of images, using film when I wanted to let loose the “artist” in me. Haha.

No worries, Larry. (shhhh...don't tell anyone as it may damage my analogue andy persona... I sometimes use a D850 for tri-colour gums... 😁 )

Yea I hear you. I have fond memories of taking 100 rolls of Kodachrome to North Vancouver for processing after a long road trip. I was glad the processing was paid for.

Do you have a website where your photos are available for viewing?

Mine is

https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/lawrence-christopher
and
https://lawrence-christopher.pixels.com

I recently gifted my brother Bob with a D850. He loves it. His website is

https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/bob-christopher

He is a very talented photographer and I was tired of seeing him using his old D7000.

Andrew, have there always been midges in Canada or did they just follow the Scottish immigrants there 🙂 They do not go well with short trousers and bare arms from my thankfully very limited experience of them. Try oilskins lined with ice cubes. I fear they might get through anything else

My dad brought them over in '59. They are of the mean Scottish variety. No mercy! 😄

Wow! I wish I had a brother like you! I'll check out his work, thanks! No, I don't have a website. I do have a few pics in the gallery here, though. I used to have one years ago, but I gave it up. Back when I actively exhibited. Haven't done that since 2014, other then a few appearances in books... One day I'll start up exhibiting again.
