David, I am 1/16th the photographer you are and have enjoyed reading your posts for 19.3 years. In the next 9 months until I hit 20, I've got a LOT of work to do if I want a resume like yours on my 20th!
Congratulations on your career, accomplishments, and longevity here on APUG (Photrio)

David, that is like a greatest hits of members hah! It really brings back memories.

It has been a wild ride and I am glad to see many varied forum communities out there like ours still thriving. For a while many called time of death on discussion boards, but I am still a fan of the format and like the feeling of being involved in parts of the web outside of "big tech". It's a bit like a friendly local pub vs. a Starbucks.

I'm up for another 20

My plans to be a digital nomad and travel/house sit around the world are moving forward. Our house is listed and once sold, plans will accelerate. I am super keen to meet up with as many of you as possible. How about some organised photo outings? More soon..

Sean

Sean, I have a lovely large home in western Kentucky (Paducah) that will be directly under the solar eclipse totality in April. If you want to go to my house and babysit it with a bunch of other APUGGERs, you're welcome to it. I have it up for sale and am not living there now. It has 2 queen, 1 full, and 1 twin bed. No bedding, no dishes, no silverware though.

Are you sure there aren't some lonely, lost and wandering boxes of missing darkroom stuff there as well? 😉

I'm half the man you are.

Oh, don't worry about it. You've got a good signal-to-noise ratio. There's a few individuals on the site who will remain un-named in this post who have much higher post counts, but say very little of substance. And they've been here less time than either of us!

I'll be 20 in a bit over a month. I was reading the forums for a while before I signed up. It was a workshop that Les McLean did that promoted me to join.

Ah yes, time flies. (Didn't someone here years back have a sig line "Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana!?")
Anyway, I'm just about 2 1/4 years from 20 myself. Have to admit to not being as robust as in 2006, but perhaps I'll make it.

So welcome back, it's remarkable how many have been here for two decades -- and sad that some great sources of knowledge have gone to the eternal darkroom in the beyond.
