Price is a little steep, that 70-210 f4 is a rare piece of glass though. Both of those lenses are real sleepers from what I understand.

Not only is this price very very steep (j-dogg was being kind) - but the lens is actually a Nikon 70-210 mm f/4-5.6, not to be confused with the 70-210 f/4. And the 24-70mm f/3.5 is actually a 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5. I'm not trying to be rude, but the price of this stuff today is worth far from $1000.

I think it is rude to make comments on a for sale thread. If you think it's too much just pass along, no need to give your professional pricing advice. It always pisses me off when people go to a ad and start making comments on price that people list for gear. If you dont like it just pass and move on.

I do apologise if it annoys you - however my comments were in context with the lenses, in that if the pricing was done with the lenses as listed it would've been incorrect when looking for second hand prices and what they usually sell for.

Sometimes it helps the seller to know that his asking price is too high......after all he/she wants to sell the gear.

This is true, and when I'm selling, I'll ask for comments on my price.

If comment is not asked for publicly, perhaps it would be better to offer via a PM. I know I would appreciate a polite honest opinion if I were way off base.

I'm sure, by the tone of the posts, that no one intended to insult or tank a sale.
