I saw 2 great photo exhibits in Chicago. The first one is Henri Cartier Bresson at the Art Institute

Great retrospective.

The second one was an unexpected treat at the Chicago Cultural Center of The Jazz Loft Project by W. Eugene Smith.

Great work silver gelatin prints, but the ink jet enlargements also in the show was a disappointment. Both must see shows. The people of Chicago were friendly and helpful to my girl friend and I. I suggest not driving to downtown to catch the show, but take mass transit. Cheap, good and hassle free.

I'm heading for the art institute in the morning. Thanks for the heads up on the Smith show didn't know about that one. I was planing on going to the art festival in the lakeview area but i may have to rethink that.

Chicago has so much to do. Definitely see the W. Eugene Smith show especially If you're a jazz lover. The show ends on September 19th. The price is right. It's FREE.
