If we are talking about annoying photographic names, nothing is surely worse than calling a Hasselblad a 'Hassy!'
'Soup' works for me too. Going back to when every studio had a darkroom with 3 gallon tanks, the developer would be replenished and replenished and replenished. While still very active, it would have quite a murky and cloudy quality, hence the name. Now, being pedantic, surely a one shot developer will be somewhat clearer?
So a one-shot is more of a broth than a soup.
