Over $400 in today's dollars. I have a few of these 70s-80s 10 speeds. Fine for the paved bike path near us. When I find a Chicago made Schwinn at garage/estate sale, I can usually pick it up cheap.

I rode old Schwinns as a kid. Depressing what happened to the company.

I am curious, what do you do with these Chicago made Schwinns?

I hang them from the rafter in my garage until I get around to fixing them up.

Ultimately, they'll be for guests and my kids/grandkids when they visit. We are about 200 yards away from a bike trail (Paul Bunyan Trail in north/central Minnesota) that goes 30 miles south of us and 100 miles north of us.

I bought a Japanese Kabuki 10or maybe 12 speed from my brother, who was a bike mechanic. This was about 1984. Never seen another with Kabuki name. It was an excellent bike.
