For sale is a 1955 Leica M3 Double-Stroke. This model lacks the preview lever and has the ceramic pressure plate. The camera comes with its spool, naturally.

This camera is a user with typical wear cosmetically - bright marks on the bottom and bruising from the shoe-mount meters being the most prominent. There are a couple small sections of vulcanite missing at the at the bottom mount lugs and the backdoor's covering is a replacement. No major dents or dings.

Shutter runs well at all speeds - there is a little 'yip' to the second curtain at 1/25 and 1/50, which a CLA would take care off. The one second speed runs as it should with the gears buzzing post-exposure.

The viewfinder is clear and the frame-lines are bright. The rangefinder is aligned and accurate - the patch is perhaps lacks a little contrast but is perfectly usable. Again, a CLA would probably make it shine.

This has been a great user camera - IMHO there is no camera more solid than a DS M3. I've just found that while the higher magnification finder is great - I'm using more wides and the M4 may be the camera for me. Asking $600, which includes shipping in the CONUS, Int'l PM me and I will calculate a new price. Payment though PayPal, buyer splits fees.

If you are interested, the camera can come with the (there was a url link here which no longer exists) in the last picture at additional (though bundle/discounted) cost. Feel free to PM me with any questions - Thanks for looking!

I'm hoping to purchase a Leica M-Series kit as soon as my tax returns and paycheck come in. I also have to sell another kit of mine, hah.

Indeed! I'm hoping with the sale of my Bronica kit, I'll have enough for either this kind of kit or perhaps a Hassy 500c/m kit. We shall see! If you still have this kit in the near future, you may receive contact from me.

How much is the combo? I see a nice tax return in my future. The only thing I dread is the price of a CLA.

The body/lens combo would be $680, which includes CONUS shipping and PP Fee.

Youxin Ye in MA was on my list to send this camera to, but I've decided that maybe the M4 I'm bound to get will deserve this more; he seems to be well liked and his fees reasonable.

Bump!

...but wait - there's more!

If the camera and lens are purchased within the next three days (the next bump) I will include a Zeiss Ikophot light meter. This is a selenium-cell meter and it comes with the case, push-on incident reading accessory which stores in the case, and handy/shiny brass tether (you can rock it like a pocket watch, as I have "stylishly" demonstrated ). The readings agree with the other meters I own (though I cannot guarantee exact accuracy). The meter and case are in great shape and it seems to have been stored in the case its whole life. There is some tarnish on the brass parts, but everything moves as it should. Another plus is this: the meter has markings that match those on the Leica, that is that it is marked in the old non-geometric shutter speeds (1/100 vs 1/125, etc).

Again, this is only until the next bump - the meter will not be sold on its own. Thanks!

Does that include the 5cm f2.0? Man, this is getting more and more tempting. I just got my tax return, so I think I'd buy it either way. Let me know!

The body and lens, still available as of this moment, can be had at $660 shipped CONUS. That's my lowest price, I think .
