Just got an email announcing that the opening of the 18th Ilford Photo ULF Campaign is now open.

Strangely enough, there is no mention of it on the website, nor is there a valid hyperlink in the email. (it just goes to an error page on the Ilford site)

Anyway, unless someone is pulling my leg, order will be taken until July 7, 2023.

In past years, this has also included special formats like 46 mm roll film (unbacked 127) and 4x10, formats smaller than technically ULF but not on the regular menu of Ilford offerings. Typically only Pan F, FP4+ and HP5+ are offered, however (Delta films aren't offered in LF anyway).

Well there is a note on www.freestylephoto.com so yeah, you can order now from official dealers:

Thanks for link.

Sad that Delta is not available on 2 1/4 x 3 1/4.
Yes, Delta 100 is my favorite Ilford film also. I'm sure we're not alone either? My question is where do I get Ilford 9X12cm sheet film in the good old USA. You can buy Ilford. 9X12cm sheet film across the big pond, but not in the U.S.. I have and use some lovely 9X12cm plate/sheet film cameras, but can only buy Foma 100 in 9X12cm. Come on Ilford, give us folks on this side of the pond some 9X12cm sheet film. Or at least tell us where we can get some?

Minimum orders apply, but this would be the time to order 9x12 for US users. Most likely the main reason it's not stocked by distributors like Freestyle or B&H is that it was never a standard here as it was in Europe. Once the American press virtually standardized on the Speed and Crown Graphic, the Graphic type film holders they used and the 4x5 film they were made to hold became de facto standards as well.

Delta films are offered i quite a few sheet film sizes. B&H has 4x5 and 8x10 in stock. Here’s the the item list for 2023. https://www.ilfordphoto.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Consumer-ULF-Announcement-2023.pdf

Ah. It's good to be wrong, in this case. I might be remembering why they don't offer XP2 Super in sheet sizes -- to avoid cutting into sales for conventional (and seemingly Delta) emulsions.

Don,
That's kind of what I was getting at. If Ilford won't run 9X12cm sheet film through Robert's in Indianapolis at least put some on the list so us folks in the U.S. could stock up. It wouldn't cost them anything since they already make it. It would be just a matter of typing the different emulsion stocks of their already made 9X12cm film to the list. I actually think this might have been overlooked by Ilford. Ilford Delta 100 souped in FX37 or anything else almost, is a joy to look at and would make my 9X12cm Ica sing.

Andy,
I'm pretty sure you have big enough balls, but like me, you have very tight pockets. 8X10 is bad enough in cost for me. Besides, other than contact printing, 4X5 is big enough for most anything I do. Now, if I had money to burn it would be a different story. Got to save enough cash for donuts you know!

$800 would keep me in doughnuts for a while! 😄

So cool that Ilford does this. Also shows how expensive ULF can be. I know some people use X-ray film, that's nothing I want to mess with. I have quite a few sheets of Ilford 11×14 that I need to use, so maybe next year.

No substitute for contact prints.

I'm enjoying my 14x17 xray but it would be nice to have that size in a pan film!

I have a 16X20" Protar that I'd like to make a box-type camera for, but it will only eat either paper negatives or Xray film. I might have big enough gonads, but I sure don't have the money for 16X20 film.
I'd be happy with 9X12cm Ilford Delta 100 instead!

Is X-ray flimsy or like regular sheet film? The cost of sheet film is crazy, however it's pretty miraculous stuff 😊

Base is similar to conventional sheet film except that it's blue. With double-sided XRAY, flat-bottomed trays are what I use, to eliminate the risk of scratches. It's nice being able to work under a safe-light, too.
