Excellent video. Not sure how the Kaput EV in your shot was rescued, must of had some serious jumper cables.

I must say you did nail your final print. Carbon prints are as beautiful as it comes! I've never ventured beyond silver , maybe someday. I admire your energy. Really well done!! Thanks for sharing!

A co-worker of hers showed up and gave her a boost.... I was going to say jumped her, but somehow that didn't sound appropriate... 😆
When I was driving home, she was broken down a couple hundred metres down the road. I pulled over (choosing my words carefully), "need a boost?" She told me that BCAA was on its way.

Silly as it seems, a lot of EVs have a 12v battery to close a contactor to enable the high voltage battery. They can still get a dead battery and be jumped the same as a normal car.

As strange as it may seem, a deteriorated 12V battery in an EV is a common source of problems in any malfunctioning EVs.
Just as it is with gas or diesel powered vehicles, a lot of subsystems in an EV depend on that low voltage source.

This is jogging my old brain. Yes, I didn't realize exactly, but I believe that most of the non-drivetrain electricals are the same 12V systems as gas models. The EV I use the most has pedals. As my wife and I drove home today from our nephew's place 22°F with 50 mph winds blowing sideways I was glad to have gasoline (1500cc turbo Honda)
I was at a conference in DC in the late 90's and I saw one of the early Toyota hybrid cars. Very cool.
