14mm vs 17mm wide angle

I like wide angle lenses, but I rented the Nikkor 14mm about ten years ago and found it to be too wide for my liking, so I never bought one.

that's a great way to find out what someone likes.

Thanks all. It's one tool in a small bag of tools.

I typically use a rangefinder camera for travel because the lenses are so compact. Allows me to carry 3 or 4 without much penalty.
