135 back on Bronica 645 ETR series

Are there any current or previous users here that can tell me if this back does a good job of holding the film evenly/firmly?
Responses are greatly appreciated.

I can't answer but I have to confess I would be interested in the 135W back...even if it appears it's as expensive as a camera with a metered prism.

Same here ... - I try to find a panoramic back very hard, but it seems pretty pricey for my opinion. I have already a 135 focusing screen for my ETRSi ...

I think I have that back in my collection but never used it. Now you got me curious, I'll have to do an archeological dig to find it.

I used a 35mm back on My ETRSi....it was the normal, not wide, format. And apart from being fiddley to load the film it all worked well and was even and flat. Of course wide angle lens became less wide due to the crop factor.
I would crop down my 120 film to 35mm panoramic if I needed the wider format saving the cost and transport of the extra film back and 35mm film.
Make sure your ground glass screen has the 35mm markings on it, mine did and it made shooting 35mm so much easier.
The Etrsi is a lovely, portable, underated medium format system, enjoy.

Or you can make your own mask. To do this. Take a photo of something with the 135N/135W and then take a photo of the focus screen (without prism/wlf) with your phone/digital. When you get the film processed, you can compare where the film ends on the viewfinder.
