I was buying film on-line and noticed the B&H site lists 134 different new instant cameras. Sure, most of the listings are the same camera over and over with different colors, but wow, most are film !!

49 of the 134 are digital cameras with built-in instant printers. Of those, only the Instax ones involve film - on a quick glance, the rest are Zink printers.* Many of the rest are accessory bundles, not even different colors.

Don't mean to be a downer - there's still a nice choice of models from two completely different film systems - Instax and Polaroid. But it's probably more like 20 or so distinct models that are purely film.

Also note that B&H isn't complete. For example, they don't list all of the available Lomo models.

* EDIT: OK, the "4PASS D2T2" technology is also represented - that's thermal transfer dye-diffusion. Again, not film.

Wonder if one can make solargraphs with the Zink paper in a film camera?

Cotton cloth burns at 267C; and cellulose acetate at 220C, so if the sun can burn a FP shutter cloth or conventional film, all three colors of Zink paper can be activated by the sun. So solargraphs should be possible.

Fair 'nuf. If you can calibrate your exposures so as not to literally burn the material, I imagine it should be possible to make some sort of mark.

I had been thinking of that earlier, as someone questioned "black sun" photography and Instax can do that well.
